English Practice Daily ("we", "our", or "us") operates the English Practice Daily mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account data: email address and name when you sign up or log in with Google OAuth.
  • Usage data: exercises completed, scores, streaks, and progress within the App.
  • Voice recording data: when you use Speaking exercises, the App records your voice (see Section 4 for how it's processed).
  • Device data: push notification token (Firebase) to send daily reminders.
  • Purchase data: in-app purchase information processed by RevenueCat and, depending on your device, Google Play or the Apple App Store.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's functionality.
  • To track your learning progress and display it in your profile.
  • To send daily practice reminders (push notifications — you can disable these at any time).
  • To process in-app purchases and verify access to paid modules.
  • Exercise content and writing feedback may be generated with AI assistance.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Google OAuth (authentication)
  • Firebase (push notifications)
  • RevenueCat (in-app purchases)
  • Google Play / Apple App Store (app distribution)
  • Anthropic (AI-generated writing and speaking feedback — your written exercise text and voice-exercise transcripts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate feedback; it is not stored by Anthropic beyond processing the request)
  • Google Cloud Speech-to-Text / OpenAI Whisper (voice transcription — when you use Speaking exercises, your recorded audio is sent to one of these services to generate a text transcript; audio is not retained longer than needed to process the request)

5. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18.

6. Your Rights

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the App (Profile screen → Delete Account) — no need to contact support.
